Trauma-Informed Care in High-Security Settings

This 6 CE credit hour training provides an overview of the principles of trauma-informed care, the prevalence and correlates of early adversity, the role of trauma in the development of behavioral and relational problems, clinical strategies for collaborative, strengths-based assessments, and trauma-informed counseling interventions. It includes a specific focus on the challenges of incorporating TIC in prisons and special commitment centers and programs.
