What Board Service Includes

• Mission-Centered Governance: Board members help oversee the organization's financial wellbeing, major activities, and structural decisions.
• Quarterly Meetings: Meetings are held four times a year, with meetings typically held online via Zoom.
• Time Commitment: Most members volunteer roughly 12 to 18 hours per year.
• Committee Service: Current committees include the finance committee and the application committee for the Fay Honey Knopp Learning Initiative

Who We Hope to Welcome

We are searching for candidates from many professional and lived backgrounds. You do not need prior experience in sexual abuse prevention to serve effectively on the board. What matters most is a commitment to helping people overcome the harmful impacts of sexual and social violence, both survivors of the abuse and those who have caused harm.

• Professional Diversity: We are especially interested in people with backgrounds in accounting, fundraising, legal work, communications, education, and related areas.
• Community Perspective: Experience rooted in community service, advocacy, leadership, or other forms of helping work can be as valuable as formal board experience.
