For most of us the appropriate sentiment at this time of year in this particular year is, “Good bye 2020 and good riddance.”
But we don’t want to end the year without acknowledging the good things that have happened at Safer Society over the past 12 months. We were able — say incredibly fortunate — to bring David Prescott on board as our new editor. David was instrumental in establishing our free webinar series. He has spear-headed our foray into online trainings. And he, along with editor-in-chief Phil Rich, helped us launch our free online magazine The New Circle: Working with At-Risk Children and Teens.
We were glad to participate as a sponsor of the virtual 2020 ATSA Conference in October.
We have published a remarkable memoir by Alan Sroufe (more below), a world-renowned developmental psychologist. We published two of our workbooks in Spanish and are working on other Spanish translations. We’ve made great strides in developing new titles which we’ll be announcing as 2021 rolls out.
And through it all, we’ve been especially impressed by you, our customers, who have continued your important work through this most difficult of years. We are immensely proud to be part of the work you do. Thank you for your support and your patronage.
Have a safe and wonderful holiday. And let’s make 2021 a great year.
