Jesse Bering is an American psychologist, writer, and academic. He is Professor and Head of Department in Science Communication at the University of Otago in New Zealand. In addition to his academic research, Bering’s bylines have appeared in many popular outlets, including Scientific American, Slate, and The Guardian. He is presently writing a book on parapsychological science in the mid-twentieth century.
