At Safer Society Foundation, we dedicate our efforts to creating a world free from the harmful effects of sexual and social violence.
Safer Society Foundation, established in 1982 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1995, has a rich history of over three decades of providing services and resources for the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse.
Today, Safer Society continues the important work of our founder, Fay Honey Knopp, with a dedicated staff carrying on her legacy.
Our mission is to harness the power of knowledge, compassion, and innovation to create a world free from sexual and social violence.
Safer Society achieves this by providing preventative and restorative responses to these forms of violence through various divisions, including:
- Safer Society Press, which publishes books, videos, and guidebooks for individuals with sexual behavior problems, survivors, and professionals working in the field.
- The Continuing Education Center, which provides online trainings, free webinars, and other educational opportunities in areas like psychology, social work, and counseling.
Through our long-standing history, unwavering mission, and diverse range of programs, the Safer Society Foundation stands as a dedicated and vital resource in the prevention of sexual abuse and social violence.
