As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
1) Describe the development and research supporting the STABLE-2007 and ACUTE-2007 tools.
2) Identify the seven risk factors assessed by ACUTE-2007 and their implications for imminent sexual re-offense risk.
3) Explain the dynamic risk factors measured by STABLE-2007 and their relevance to criminogenic needs.
4) Demonstrate accurate scoring of items on the STABLE-2007 and ACUTE-2007 assessment tools.
5) Interpret the results of STABLE-2007 and ACUTE-2007 within behavioral health, correctional, and court settings.
6) Apply recent guidance on using these tools with individuals convicted of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)-related offenses.
7) Analyze case studies to practice administering the measures and avoiding common scoring errors.
8) Evaluate how combining dynamic risk assessments with Static-99R enhances sexual recidivism risk predictions.
