Constructing Positive Futures: Juvenile Sexuality Treatment Conference


The 23rd Annual Conference on the Treatment of Juveniles with Sexual Behavior Problems held by the Dallas County Juvenile Department is a virtual event featuring 12 hours of continuing education, 3 hours each session.

The speakers, Apryl Alexander and David Prescott, are experts in their respective fields and have expertise related to violence, victimization, human sexuality, trauma-informed practice, assessing and treating sexual violence, and the Good Lives Model with adolescents. The conference will explore topics such as sex offense registration, addressing racial and historical trauma, strategies and ethical considerations for engaging adolescents, and utilizing the Good Lives Model in treatment.
