If you’ve been in contact with Safer Society recently, chances are you’ve interacted with Michelle Shubert. She plays a key role in keeping the organization running seamlessly behind the scenes, from taking orders by phone and helping people impacted by interpersonal violence find resources to making sure participants in every Safer Society event have what they need, including handouts, links, and certificates.

Over the past five years, Michelle has gone above and beyond in every aspect of her work. From our very first Zoom interview, it was clear she would be an excellent fit for the Administrative Associate role in which she was hired to fill. A few years later, Michelle’s promotion to Assistant Operations Manager was a natural next step, particularly as we expanded our on-demand training platform. She has played a key role in these efforts, helping ensure that we meet the needs of the professionals we serve in ways that are both effective and seamless, especially given the demanding nature of their work.

Today, we are proud to celebrate both Michelle’s five years with Safer Society Foundation and her promotion to Director of Operations. In this role, she has taken on additional responsibilities, including supervising administrative staff, leading onboarding efforts, guiding large organizational projects, and continuously improving our internal processes. Michelle’s contributions have been central to the progress Safer Society Foundation has made as an organization, and we are truly grateful for her collaborative ideas and commitment to the professionals we support.
