Guided by the visionary legacy of our founder, Fay Honey Knopp, Safer Society remains steadfast in its mission to combat sexual and social violence. Since the launch of Safer Society’s Continuing Education Center, we have made significant strides by providing online trainings for some 5,200 mental health professionals. However, financial constraints prevent many in the profession from accessing more than one or two of these crucial trainings per year. This limitation is especially problematic for individuals new to the profession.
To address this problem, we have established the Fay Honey Knopp Scholarship Fund. Scholarships providing free access to Continuing Education Center trainings will be awarded to qualified young mental health professionals. We have allocated $1,000 of Safer Society’s operating budget to the Fay Honey Knopp scholarship fund, and now we are seeking additional contributions by reaching out to you—our esteemed authors and presenters—and asking that you allocate a portion of your 2023 royalties to the fund. With your support, when the scholarship fund is announced publicly, we can clearly demonstrate the commitment of the Safer Society community to fostering professional growth opportunities for all within the field.
By donating a portion of your 2023 royalties, you can help us meet our goal of raising $10,000 to be distributed in 2024. This amount will enable approximately 85 individuals to access professional development opportunities they would otherwise be unable to afford. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in empowering professionals to make a positive impact in their communities.
Join us in creating a safer and more informed society for all.
