Last year at this time, we were hoping that we’d be looking at the COVID pandemic in the rear view mirror. Obviously, the pandemic remains a serious issue for the entire world.
Nevertheless, there are many things we can be thankful for as we look back at the previous year. Number one for us at Safer Society Foundation is our customers. Personnel and supply-chain issues have impacted to some extent or another the printers who manufacture our books and our warehouse which ships them. This has occasionally meant being out of stock with some of our titles, as well as experiencing delays with shipping (we HATE delays). But you, our customers, have faced these problems with us with patience and understanding. Thank you for that.
We are also thankful for your reception of Safer Society’s Continuing Education Center. You’ve embraced our training offerings with open arms, helping make our CEC successful as well as prompting us to continue to expand our offerings.
It is awe-inspiring to see our field in action these days. Work that is always challenging, has become more challenging with the pandemic, but you have found creative ways to continue your important work. We can’t say enough about that.
So we move into the end of the year with hope and gratitude.
If you’re in the United States, we wish you a joyous Thanksgiving. If you’re reading this outside the U.S., we just want to say thank you.
The staff of Safer Society Foundation.
