Dr. Jill Levenson, Associate Professor of Social Work at Barry University in Miami, Florida, is a widely known expert on the subject of adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed care.
In this episode, Jill explains how trauma-informed care should be viewed not as a treatment approach but rather as a framework for the assessment and treatment of sexual offenders; a way of framing client problems through the lens of trauma, and how that framing can help improve responsivity in treatment.

I LOVE Dr. Levinson, I was lucky enough to have her as my professor twice during my time at Barry University. I am now a clinician for a local agency in Broward with various clients, many of who are in pre-school, middle school, and junior high school. I have a wide range of clientele who have all experienced varying levels of trauma during their lives according to ACES.
